Participation Contribution + Payments

The El Dorado Band and Color Guard program offers a wide variety of competitive performance activities for the students that extend far beyond the basic high school music course curriculum. El Dorado’s Band and Color Guard is a comprehensive competitive program that includes the Parade Unit, the Field Show Unit, the Concert Bands, the Winter Drumline, the Winter Guard and the Jazz Bands.

 

Each of these activities are competitive teams, and the costs incurred in providing these opportunities for our students are NOT subsidized by the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District. Therefore, there is a need for contributions from each student’s family; otherwise, these programs are at great risk of being scaled back. Some examples of program costs include: salaries for additional instructors, transportation, competition fees, show design, uniforms, insurance, food for students at competitions, and student awards.

 

The Band and Color Guard program organizes many group fundraising activities to keep the need for students’ Participation Contributions as low as possible.

 

Additional contributions will be requested for Winter Guard, Winter Drumline and Jazz Band participation.

 

Your support via your Participation Contribution helps to keep the booster program financially viable so that we may continue to support the ongoing history of program excellence at El Dorado.

 

Please be prepared to pay for Band Camp and Transportation on or before Registration Day. 

 

The transportation must be paid for each student to be granted entry onto the bus for the first football game. 

 

The remaining portion of PC is to be paid prior to the completion of Fall Marching season. 

 

Payment plans can be coordinated with Art Pang, Financial Secretary.

 

Payment Options

Here are the different ways you can make a payment/donation to the band:

 

1. Mail a check to El Dorado Band Boosters, P.O. Box 643, Placentia, CA 92870.

2. Venmo (see instructions below)

3. Drop your check off in the secure, black Band box located just inside the Band Room entrance.

 

With all forms of payment please indicate:

student’s name (for everything other than general donation)

the purpose (marching participation contribution, winter drumline, color guard, general donation, etc.)
